For more than two decades, I have helped my clients produce engineering content of the highest quality. Over the years, I have developed reliable, purpose-built quality assurance tools for technical translation to ensure consistent terminology and formatting throughout every project. My goal is to make life easier for my clients and provide a level of quality that raw AI-generated text simply cannot match. As a native Spanish speaker and professional translator with more than 20 years of experience, I built my expertise over many years before machine translation and AI tools became widely available. This has given me the ability to produce texts that are not only terminologically accurate, but also natural and fluent.

I can work with any file type, from standard documents (.docx, .xlsx, .pptx, .odt, .csv and .pdf) and design and desktop publishing files (.indd, .idml, .ai, .psd, .svg and .eps) to modern web and development formats (.html, .xml, .json, .yaml, .md, .mdx, .jsx and .tsx) and dedicated software localization formats (.xlf, .xliff, .sdlxliff, .mqxliff, .po, .resx, .properties, .strings and .arb). I can also handle more complex formats, including DITA, FrameMaker and EPUB files, subtitles, CAD documents and packages containing multiple linked files.
In addition to translating the content, I can take care of layout and formatting for any type of document. I integrate the translated text while preserving the structure and design of the original, including styles, images, tables, charts, headers, footers, tables of contents and cross-references.
Document layout requires particular care because text length can vary considerably between languages. Text boxes, line breaks, font sizes, spacing and other visual elements must be adjusted to maintain a balanced, clear and professional appearance.

Purpose-built quality assurance and terminology management tools
In addition to translation itself, I have developed purpose-built software tools in recent years to ensure the quality of technical and engineering content. These tools complement my linguistic review and allow me to analyze each project to a level of detail that would be difficult to achieve through manual checks alone.
In a technical manual, a seemingly minor inconsistency can have serious consequences. If the same component is given different names, a number is changed or a unit goes missing, the user may misinterpret an instruction. These tools automatically check terminology, numbers, units, symbols, tags, references and other elements requiring special attention.
They also detect omissions, discrepancies between repeated segments, inconsistent translations and departures from client-approved terminology. This ensures that the same standards are maintained throughout lengthy documents, multi-file projects and long-running assignments.
The aim is not to replace human review, but to strengthen it. The software identifies patterns and flags potential anomalies; I then assess each case in context and determine the correct solution. This combination of linguistic expertise, technical training and custom-built tools enables me to deliver more accurate, consistent and reliable translations.
